Celebrating Coming Out Day
Coming of age in the late 8o’s, I remember how very hard my friends tried to hide what they were; who they were.
Being in theatre in the 90’s, I remember beautiful men dying alone because their family rejected them for who they loved.
No one should feel anything less than accepted and embraced for who they are and who they love.
One day, we may not need this day. I pray that society will accept how one defines themself and who they love without question. Until then, I stand as an ally to the rainbow, whatever color you are!
