Days of Naps in a Stroller

They say the days will go fast.

They are right.

They say you can’t possibly remember it all.

They are right.

Today, amongst old, mostly un-viewed YouTube videos, I found this delight. My now teenager at age six, packing her “ready” bag for a trip to Seaworld in San Antonio. Mind you, we did not have one planned. This was just for when she got the “go”.

When did her voice lower and her “R”s finally define themselves without a lisp? And yet her childlike tones are betrayed by a fierce determination that still defines everything she does. So many treasures here, listen carefully for “heart attack ride”.

Enjoy.

I’m not crying. Yes, yes, I am. Because it is these sweet and all too short moments that define a childhood. An all too short childhood.
