You’re here.
That makes you a star.
You ready to #shinebrightly?
Yeah, me too!
Come see me at the place:
A Star in My Universe
Share a Cup of Friends-ship
In case you aren’t aware, there is a Central Perk coffee. No, it isn’t on the ground floor of the greatest rent control building in Manhattan history, but does make a fine up of Joe. Take a sip and you may find yourself saying, “How you doin”? Okay, yes, that is a cringe-worthy Friends pun, but it’s fair because that is also the name of one of their brews, as well as “We Were on a Break”, and the “Pivot” blend. And they make for great gifts under the tree.
Open to the New
I talk a lot about shining brightly and throwing pebbles of positivity into the sea, but all of that depends on us being a bright light ourselves. This is a hard lesson I learned this year. I let might dim a bit. Candles o burn out if we don’t tend to them. For me I will be trying a litte aura.
Santa is Coming!
Back in August, I shared Old World Christmas and a beautiful giveaway they were doing of Christmas Cheer. Well, they graced me with some, as well. Unboxing to follow. Thank you, Old World Christmas, for bringing a smile to my face and starting my Christmas off right. Keep shining brightly.

After Death - More than a Movie
That is the focus of the intriguing film, “After Death” in theaters now. It is a documentary wherein actual survivors of near-death experiences share their true stories of what they saw and lived in those moments on the other side.
Being Fit is the Real Treat
Do you need to trick yourself to get the work out you know you need? It has taken everything to get me to do it. I mean everything!
Let’s get SPOOKY!
If you’re like me and like to decorate every nook and cranny for Halloween, this is for you!
A Ghoul-ishly Good Time
My girl may have grown up (though she still has a handful of dolls) but guess what? So has Monster High. With its latest film, Monster High, The Movie. Nickelodeon has brought the daughters of our favorite horror characters into the live-action world.
It’s Never too Early to Spread Cheer
When Old World Christmas approached me about their beautiful ornaments, of course, my heart leaped. I can’t wait to hang a couple on my tree. But that is a little bit away. Today, I am more excited to share this amazing contest that they are hosting.
Embracing Aromatherapy
We’re always hearing about something new to help us feel better. Whether it’s health lotions and potions or remedies; something’s always coming out. But what’s for real and what’s bull-BEEP?
Give Your Mental Health a Boost
Each and every day, more and more of us are struggling with stress, anxiety, and depression, and it’s important that we’re not neglecting our mental health.
I Saw the Lights
Last month, I shared that I would be checking off a bucket list item and attending a water lantern festival. I am happy to report that three days after my 52nd birthday, bucket item checked!
Our Summer of Fun
Last fall, my family and I moved to Buffalo, NY. As we moved into our rental literally four days before my daughter’s first day of school, we did not have much time to explore.
But now, it’s summer. Our summer of fun and I am sharing our Upstate NY Bucket List suggestions.
Read for Free
With traveling a lot, a recent move and purge, and well, inflation, I haven’t been buying as many books as I did before. To begin, I started using my Kindle more, because as long as I have my phone I would have a book. Fortunately, I found there are many places online where you can download free eBooks. I thought I’d share a few popular sites for you to check out.
Let the “Sound of Freedom” Ring
On this holiday, freedom is a word we will all be saying a lot. How often do we contemplate the word? Not just the larger macro-definition, but the true daily sense of what it means to be free?
The film, “Sound of Freedom” opening in theaters today, looks at that very subject. There are people living among us that are not free. Their lives are not their own. their choices are not their own. Their bodies are not their own. And in all too many cases, they are precious children.
I Need to Get My Groove Back
I have been learning that it is important to get your care on and start doing more for yourself.
Here are some more thoughts on how we can take better care of ourselves to feel our best.
I‘ll See the Lights
Next weekend, I will get to finally experience such a festival and I can’t wait. The Water Lantern Festival is nationwide with festivals in cities across the country. Not only is it a lovely community event, but it supports water.org.
Seven Reasons to Get Your Care On
I usually equate productivity to more work, scheduling more and more work, etc.. Rinse and Repeat However, conditioning our minds this way can discourage us from making time for ourselves. The inevitable result is burnout and over time, reduced efficiency and productivity.
Ironic, right?
On the other hand, self-care can condition us to work effectively without compromising our work quality.
A Morning in the Life
I’ve been enjoying my coffee in bed more since I upgraded and have been sip-sationally. Yep, I pulled a Traci with that pun. Seriously, though, I have upgraded my morning mojo with this Joe (yeah, I can’t stop myself today 🤦♀️🤣)
Sipsational Coffee is a boutique brand where the owner is the one working hard himself to make the brew perfect. Personally, I’d say he did a brewtastic job! Last one, I promise.
Time to Get #BikiniReady
So, it's June.
WHAAAAAT?
Yep. And I am not bikini ready, After months of hibernating in my new climate, e.g. snowy Buffalo, my skin is dry and it is PALE. I mean Snow White but without the problematic prince story.
