Singing the famous "Wilkommen", he introduces us to a dimly-lit world where performers like Sally Boyles shine. Hopes of love rise and fall just as Berlin and the rest of the world are shaken into chaos.As heartbreaking as it is exhilarating, I consider "Cabaret" a must-see in the musical canon. It has been a favorite of mine for years and I loved how the Roundabout shaped it the first time in 1998. Leave the kiddos at home and come join the cabaret.
