I believe in Second Acts. And third and fourth. Heck, Shakespearean plays always had five. In other words, keep going until you get it right. That is at the heart of #shinebrightly. There is no expiration on getting it right as long as you haven’t reached your expiration date.

In the Pure Flix series, “Sons of Thunder: Redemption”, former gang member Jacob is traveling the country in his second act. Redeemed spiritually, he is looking for redemption in this life. All while on the run from his former '“brothers”.

Many of us, however, are running from our prior acts. In episode 6, “Do or Die”, Jacob is helping save a ranch and souls in the season finale. Cheating life, success, and a friend can scar almost as much as bullets. And you are as unlikely to outrun them as Jacob can outrun his old gang mates.

When all seems impossible, it must be given to He that specializes in making impossible possible.

This is a faith-based drama, but without preaching. As Jacob finds his strength, so does the viewer. I chose “Faith” as my word for 2022 and reminders like Redemption help my resolve just as I hope to strengthen another along my path.
