A Prize Above Rubies

A #throwback to a treasured visit with an old friend. She and I were chatting yesterday, something of which we do not do enough, and we were bemoaning the loss of certain touchstones in our lives. But she, byclaudya, like so many beautiful people in my life remain as incredible touchstones keeping me real and alive no matter what the world has thrown my way.

Ever Blessed, Ever Lucky

This reminds me on this #thankfulthursday that while not draped in jewels or dripping in bills, I am obscenely blessed with people.I have been surrounded by the most stunning of souls that would put rubies and sapphires to shame and have been loved beyond measure. Cannot put my treasures in a bank but I care not. These are not fleeting. They can't disappear in a stock market crash, but they are precious and fragile. They must be cultured and protected.

Therefore, today I say thank you to each and everyone of you who have ever walked beside me for a moment or a mile. I hope I gave you as much as you gave me. If not, please take my eternal gratitude.
