You’re here.
That makes you a star.
You ready to #shinebrightly?
Yeah, me too!
Come see me at the place:
A Star in My Universe
A Slight Change in Addresses
For some time, I have encouraged you to shine brightly without reserve and never hide all that is you. I, however, have hidden much of me behind that encouragement and advice. It is easier to be the message than the voice.
Why I Love the Olympics
The Olympics has always been a time for me to revisit my personal goals. This time, however, those goals are a little more fun. Check out the Five “pebble” rings.
Happy Beltane!
Last year on “the pebble”, I shared the holiday as a Monday Motivation. While it’s not Monday, the motivation stands.
Wishing you a May filled with inspiration and plenty of fun. Should you need a little motivation, join our movement and become a pebble.
Let’s Make Sustainability Sustainable
Talking with Lacie is a bright ray of light. She makes being more conscious and conscientious about sustainability feel sustainable. (See what I did there?) Seriously, though, it’s about doing what you can consistently rather than trying to be perfect and feeling like a failure so you give up. Who’s done that? This girl, for sure!
Earth Day Every Day
All I am asking of us is to do a little better. A pebble’s worth. Since recording this last year, I have struggled in places and learned new ways to do better. It is a constant journey. As Dory said, “just keep swimming”.
Never a Stranger with Alan Hennessy
For me, it comes down to living life, as if we adults lived by what Mr. Rogers taught our children. One thing he said was that the stranger is just a friend you don't know yet. If we abided by all the things that he was teaching our children, the world would be a kind and happy place.
Pebbles Home
The walk home can mean a lot of things. To me, it often means a walk to the place where one feels most like oneself. Sometimes it is a literal walk and sometimes it is more of a spiritual journey.
A Gift of Love
It’s an extra long month and that means an extra opportunity to share love. Here is my sweet niece singing her heart out wishing love to the world. We all could learn from her belief in herself and others.
Even Small Progress Is Progress
Life will never be perfect and rarely do we have whole days to tackle projects. If you can look around, however, and dedicate 15 or even five minutes to making something in your home better, you will not regret it. Do it several times on the same project and in short (to medium) order, you will find that large project accomplished. And while you know you feel great then, as you can see from the video, you start to feel better along the way.
No One Should Go Forgotten
No longer do the forgotten graves fade into obscurity; instead, they stand as testaments to the enduring power of remembrance. A cared-for cemetery is not just a resting place for the dead but a sanctuary for the living, a place where the past and present intersect. By honoring the lives and legacies of those who have gone, we can also help more people connect. We can encourage visitors, and more importantly, we can encourage healing too.
A Clean Start
Do you have a project that has been eating you up? Share with me and we can conquer them together.
Try a Little Love
It’s the month of love ❤️ 🩷 ❤️ so today give yourself some love. I will do the same. Tomorrow, we can repeat. If we fill our tanks, we are capable of so much more.
I Needed a Pebble
2023 was a brute of a year and I was not doing those little things for myself as I was out there spreading the word to others to do so. Now that I begin work on Season 2, I am recommitting to living my words, picking up my own pebbles rather than just giving them out.
Let’s write a beautiful 2024
Nothing has been decided yet. All of these pages are yet to be written. Pick up your pen, no pencil needed.
HaPPY 2024!
#LearnAboutComposting
May 29th is #learnaboutcompostingday and I don’t know anyone with whom better to have the conversation than Isabel and Lacie about this process. If you are worried that it is smelly and yucky and not for you - that was me, too!
Smell of Success
Alexandra Nolan is a true businesswoman with multiple businesses created and sold under her belt. She is also someone who has had tough days and knows that creating positivity for herself and sharing it with others is valuable. In other words, she is exactly what “the pebble” is about.
Here’s your Motivation
Proud to be in Week Two of “the pebble” and even more proud to be hosting a dear friend and my coach, Pamela Baez Briscoe. She is a personal entrepreneur and tremendous business coach whose work with me has been intrinsic in the creation of this project.
the pebble has landed
I likely should have said the “the pebble” has launched as Monday was the launch of my new project, but having lived a good deal of my life in NASA-city, I couldn’t resist. Are you really surprised?
Exciting Things are Happening…
We have important and fun things to do around here. I hope you will be here for the ride. Thanks for being a part of my Universe all these years. There are not words for what it has meant to me the 12 1/2 trips about the sun. I hope we travel the astros for many more.
